Andrea Melville was named Executive Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution in May 2004. Previously, Melville served as Executive Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs for Universal Television Distribution from April 2002 to May 2004, having first joined the company in 1997 as Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for Universal Television & Networks Group. Melville oversees business and legal affairs relating to the distribution of film and television product to all television media worldwide.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Melville served in a number of executive roles, including Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, TELE-TV Media, L.P. (1995 to 1997), Vice President, Legal Affairs and Senior Corporate Counsel for ICS Communications, Inc. (1994 to 1995) and Senior Counsel for Sony Pictures (1993 to 1994). In addition, from 1985 to 1993, Melville was an associate in the Corporate Department of O'Melveny & Myers, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and securities transactions.
Melville holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis and a Law Degree from the University of Southern California Law Center.
