Heather Olander serves as Senior Vice President, Alternative Series Development and Production, USA Network & SYFY. Based in Los Angeles, Olander reports to Bill McGoldrick, President, Original Content, NBCUniversal Entertainment Networks and Direct-to-Consumer.
Olander oversees the networks’ slate of unscripted series, including USA’s hits “Temptation Island,” “The Biggest Loser,” “Chrisley Knows Best,” spinoff “Growing Up Chrisley,” as well as docuseries “Miz & Mrs.” and “Straight Up Steve Austin.” Before adding SYFY to her purview, Olander served as Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming at USA Network, where she successfully launched USA into the reality space, overseeing the development of “Chrisley Knows Best.”
Prior to USA, Olander was Vice President, Programming and Development, for CBS Television Distribution, where she developed new syndicated shows and oversaw current first-run strips. Before joining CBS, Olander was at MTV, where she served as Vice President of Original Series Development and Current Programming.
Olander graduated with a B.A. from Cornell University.
