Matt Bond serves as Chairman of Content Distribution for NBCUniversal, where he oversees distribution agreements for NBCUniversal networks by multichannel video providers and linear streaming partners. His responsibilities include the distribution of NBCUniversal’s broadcast and cable networks, NBC owned stations, TV Everywhere and video on demand products. Mr. Bond reports to Steve Burke, Chief Executive Officer, NBCUniversal.
Mr. Bond and his team have secured extensive affiliation agreements for NBCUniversal’s entire network portfolio, including NBC and Telemundo Owned & Operated stations, Regional Sports Networks (RSNs), and cable networks including Bravo, CNBC, E!, Golf Channel, MSNBC, NBCSN, The Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA, Oxygen, Syfy, Universal Kids, UNIVERSO, and USA Network with distributors, including Altice, AT&T DirecTV, Comcast, Cox, DISH Network, NCTC, Spectrum, and Verizon, as well as linear streaming partners.
Mr. Bond also spearheads distribution of NBCUniversal’s presentation of the Olympic Games, working with hundreds of distributors to make the Olympic Games available to millions of fans on linear networks and emerging digital platforms.
Before joining NBCUniversal, Mr. Bond was EVP of Content Acquisition for Comcast Cable, where he was responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the Company’s content portfolio, including the negotiation of programming agreements for all Comcast cable systems. Mr. Bond also led content acquisition for new media rights and strategic multiplatform initiatives, including On Demand Online, and the launch of XfinityTV.com.
Prior, Mr. Bond served as EVP of Distribution for the Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network (YES), and before that, EVP of Programming at AT&T Broadband and President of Satellite Services, Inc., an AT&T Broadband subsidiary. Previously, he served as EVP of Programming for Telecommunications, Inc.
Mr. Bond holds a B.S.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from the University of Denver and a J.D. from the University of Colorado.
