Meredith McGinn is the Senior Vice President of COZI TV, the news brand LX, and production company LX.TV. In this role, McGinn manages creative, programming and business aspects of COZI TV, the broadcast network that airs iconic television shows and LX, a news brand that delivers visually-rich longer form news content for Gen Z and millennial audiences. She also supervises the award-winning production company, LX.TV, that produces weekly lifestyle programs "George to the Rescue," "1st Look," "Open House" and "Talk Stoop, " in addition to live specials such as red-carpet coverage of the Golden Globes, Emmy Awards and the Rose Parade for NBC network. LX.TV’s shows and special events programs air on NBC stations across the country and are nationally syndicated. Within the programs, she also manages production of custom integrated marketing solutions for top consumer brands.
Before joining the owned stations headquarters team (since WNBC is in the division), McGinn was Director of News and Content at NBC 4 New York / WNBC, where she was responsible for overseeing news decisions for the station’s broadcast channel and online site as well as programming for New York Nonstop, which she launched in 2009. Before this, she worked as a Senior Producer at MSNBC from 2003 to 2006, primarily overseeing live weekday morning and breaking news coverage.
Previously, McGinn spent nearly a decade in news management at the FOX Television Station group as Assistant News Director for WNYW in New York and Managing Editor for WTXF in Philadelphia, where she received two spot news Emmy Awards.
McGinn graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Temple University. She lives in Pelham, New York with her husband and three children.
