Scott Nemes

Before joining UCP, Nemes headed the television arm of Makeready, where he oversaw all aspects of television for the startup studio.  He sold numerous projects to cable networks and streaming platforms, including a pilot for Showtime called “Hombre” and Snapchat’s first scripted series “Class Of Lies.” Before helping start Makeready, he served as Senior Vice President at Cinemax, where he helped launch the rebrand of HBO’S sister network. Nemes oversaw primetime series such as “Strike Back,” the Emmy Award winning series “Banshee,” “The Knick,” “Outcast,” “Quarry,” and the current series “Warrior.” He was also Senior Vice President of Production and Development for The Film Department, a film financing/production company, and Vice President of Development at Immortal Entertainment where he worked on such films as “Kiss of the Dragon,” and “Life without Dick.”
Nemes previously worked with Olmstead, when he ran the film division of Adelstein/Parouse Productions, where he also acted as executive producer on Dimension’s “Black Christmas,” and producer on “The Experiment,” and Focus Features’ “Hanna.”
Nemes got his first taste in film development when he joined actor and director Penny Marshall on the development of films such as “Cinderella Man,” “Bewitched,” and HBO’s “Live from Baghdad.”
