‘THE TONIGHT SHOW’ RULES AS THE #1 MOST-SOCIAL PROGRAM ON BROADCAST TELEVISION SEASON TO DATE

In Linear Nielsens for Nov. 16-20, “Tonight” Delivers Its #2 Biggest Total Viewership in a Non-NFL Week Since Early August

“Late Night with Seth Meyers” Ranks #1 at 12:35 a.m. in 10 of 10 Key Ratings Measure

NEW YORK — Nov. 24, 2020 — “The Tonight Show” currently leads the season to date as broadcast television’s #1 most-social program, having generated 13.8 million Total Interactions (Source: Nielsen Social Content Ratings; Linear Window; 9/21/20-11/22/20; Broadcast Series).

Since its season premiere on Sept. 21, “Tonight” has accumulated the #1 most content responses (40 million), comments (1.0 million), new fans (1.5 million) and shares (3.7 million) for all broadcast TV shows across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube (Source: ListenFirst Media Brand Rankings, LF // TV UNIVERSE // EPISODIC; Broadcast; Content Responses, Comments, New Fans, Shares; Brand Type: TV Shows; 9/21/20-11/22/20).

In linear ratings for the week of Nov. 16-20, “Tonight” delivered a 0.25 rating in adults 18-49 and 1.424 million viewers. The 1.424 million is the #2 biggest weekly audience for “Tonight,” excluding a week boosted by a primetime NFL lead-in, since Aug. 3-7 (1.454 million). Last week, “Tonight” led its hour versus the ABC-CBS competition in adults 18-34 and women 18-34.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” averaged a 0.15 in adults 18-49 and 888,000 viewers overall, and ranked #1 in the hour versus CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” in 10 of 10 key ratings measures – adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers – including a tie in men 18-49.
