UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — Aug. 11, 2020 — NBC has averaged a 0.4 rating in adults 18-49 and 2.7 million viewers overall for the primetime ratings week of Aug. 3-9, ranking it tied for #2 in 18-49 and #2 in total viewers among the Big 4 networks, according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research.

A 15th Anniversary Special episode of “America’s Got Talent” scored as the #1 show of the week in total viewers.

Among adult 18-49 viewers, the “Talent” anniversary special joined “World of Dance” and “The Titan Games” to give NBC three of the week’s top five primetime shows on the Big 4 networks, with the “Talent” encore presentation finishing #2 among 18-49 viewers, “World” #4 and “Titan” #5.

Weekly ratings are “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date ratings are averages of “live plus seven day” data except for the two most recent weeks, which are “live plus same day.”

Monday

NBC ranked #1 among the Big 4 networks Monday night in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and all other key ratings demographics, with “The Titan Games” and “American Ninja Warrior” scoring as the night’s #1-2 shows on those nets in adult 18-49. NBC has finished #1 or tied for #1 on 11 of 11 Monday nights so far this summer among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49.

“The Titan Games” (0.7 rating in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) finished as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and every other key category. “Titan” has equaled or beaten its season-premiere 18-49 rating with 10 of 10 telecasts since the show’s May 25 debut and has topped its season debut in total viewers with 10 of 10 telecasts since May 25. Digital / Social: Total activity for the Aug. 3 “Titan Games” episode (342,700 Total Interactions) rose +29% above the show’s season average (265,000).

An encore telecast of “American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. the World” (0.5 rating in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) ranked as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 behind only “The Titan Games.” In the two-hour timeslot, the “Ninja” rebroadcast ranked #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and was #1 or tied for #1 in all other key demos.

Tuesday

NBC won Tuesday among the Big 4 networks in every key measure, and has now won 15 consecutive Tuesdays among those networks in 18-49 (including a tie) and 14 in a row in adults 25-54 (including a tie).

An encore telecast, saluting the 15th Anniversary of “America’s Got Talent” (0.8 rating in 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 networks in all key categories — adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. Versus the show’s most recent retrospective episode, the anniversary special was up +14% in 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.7 for a July 21 recap telecast) and +21% in total viewers (6.2 million vs. 5.1 million). Digital / Social: With social activity of 497,400 Total Interactions, “AGT” topped its season average (445,000) by +10%.

“World of Dance” (0.7 rating in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) delivered the show’s most-watched episode since June 30 (4.0 million), retaining 100% week to week in adults 18-49 (0.7 vs. 0.7) and growing +6% in total viewers (3.8 million vs. 3.6 million).pending updates. “World” finished as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and all other key demographics (including a tie in men 25-54). “World” won the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key ratings category, equaling the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-49 (0.7 vs. a combined 0.7).

Wednesday

An encore telecast of “Chicago Med” (0.3 rating in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranks #2 In the timeslot, among the Big 4 networks in total viewers.

A rebroadcast of “Chicago Fire” (0.3 rating in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) finished #2 in the 9-10 p.m. hour among the Big 4 networks in total viewers and tied for #2 in adults 25-54.

An encore “Chicago P.D.” (0.4 rating in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) won the timeslot in total viewers, ahead of the concluding hour of CBS’ “Big Brother” season premiere and ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” “P.D.” retained 100% of the previous week’s rebroadcast in 18-49 (0.4 vs. 0.4) and grew +5% in total viewers (3.4 million vs. 3.3 million).

Thursday

An encore “Ellen’s Game of Games” (0.4 rating in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) equaled NBC’s best 18-49 rating in the timeslot since May 21 (0.8). Week to week, the “Ellen’s” encore increases by +5% in total viewers (2.4 million vs. 2.3 million).

A rebroadcast “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (0.3 rating in 18-49, 1.9 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) matched NBC’s best 18-49 result in the timeslot since May 21 (0.4) and captured the network’s best total-viewer result since June 4 (2.0 million). Versus the prior week’s 9 p.m. encore, this Aug. 6 rebroadcast is up +5% in total viewers (1.9 million vs 1.8 million).

A second rebroadcast “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (0.3 rating in 18-49, 2.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) equaled “SVU’s” highest 18-49 rating for an encore since April 9 (0.4).

Friday

A rebroadcast of “The Wall” (0.3 rating in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) delivered the show’s best total-viewer result for a Friday encore since July 17 (2.3 million). “Dateline” was up in viewers for a second week in a row.

An encore telecast of “Dateline NBC” (0.4 rating in adults 18-49, 0.6 in adults 25-54, 3.2 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) retained 100% week to week in adults 18-49 (0.4 vs. 0.4) and increased by +6% in total viewers (3.2 million vs. 3.0 million) to its biggest audience since July 17 (3.218 million). The Aug. 7 “Dateline” also equaled a 12-week Friday high in 18-49 (matching its best since May 15, 0.5). “Dateline” was the night’s #1 newsmagazine in adults 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers.
