UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — July 28, 2020 — NBC has tied for #1 in the key ratings demographic of adults 18-49 among the Big 4 networks for the primetime week of July 20-26, while finishing #1 outright among those nets in adults 25-54, according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research.

It’s the ninth week in a row NBC has finished #1 or tied for #1 in the adult 18-49 demographic.

In adult 18-49 viewers, “The Titan Games” ranked #1 for the week among Big 4 primetime telecasts, while an encore recap “America’s Got Talent” ranked #2, “ “World of Dance” finished #5, a Monday “Dateline NBC” rebroadcast ranked #6 and a Monday encore of “The Wall” finished #7, giving NBC five of the week’s top seven.

In adult 25-54 rating, “Titan Games” was also #1, the “Talent” recap was #2, “World of Dance” and “Dateline” tied for #5, and “The Wall” joined encores of “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.” tied for #9.

Weekly ratings are “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date ratings are averages of “live plus seven day” data except for the two most recent weeks, which are “live plus same day.”

Monday

NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks Monday night in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers, leading six of six primetime half-hours among those networks in all three measures.

NBC has finished #1 or tied for #1 on nine of nine Monday nights so far this summer among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49.

“The Titan Games” (0.8 rating in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) equaled the show’s season high in adults 18-49 and scored as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers. “Titan Games” has equaled or beaten its season-premiere results in 18-49 and total viewers with eight of eight telecasts since the show’s May 25 debut. Week to week, “Titan” increased by +14% in 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.7) and grows +2% in total viewers (3.822 million vs. 3.752 million). Digital / Social: Total activity for the July 20 “Titan Games” (340,200 Total Interactions) was up +27% versus the prior episode (268.600), and up +103% versus the season average (167,400), to make this the #2 most social episode of the season for “Titan Games,” behind only the Season 2 premiere (356,800).

An encore telecast of “The Wall” (0.5 rating in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) tied as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 behind only “The Titan Games.” The rebroadcast more than doubles the show’s original run on May 24 in 18-49 (0.5 vs.0.2) and tops it by +51% in total viewers (3.0 million vs. 2.0 million).

An encore telecast of “Dateline NBC” (0.5 rating in adults 18-49, 0.8 in adults 25-54, 3.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 behind only “The Titan Games,” and was the #2 show outright among those nets in adults 25-54. “Dateline” won the timeslot among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 25-54.

Tuesday

NBC won Tuesday night among the Big 4 networks in 10 of 10 key measures, with an encore recap “America’s Got Talent” and “World of Dance” scoring as the night’s #1 and #2 shows on those nets in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, as well as women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. NBC has now won 13 consecutive Tuesdays among those networks in 18-49 (including a tie) and 12 in a row in adults 25-54 (including a tie).

An encore recap of “America’s Got Talent” (0.7 rating in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 networks in nine of nine key ratings categories — adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. The “AGT” recap also ranked #1 in the 8-10 p.m. timeslot in all key ratings measures.

“World of Dance” (0.5 rating in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) ranked as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, as well as women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, behind only “America’s Got Talent.” In the 10-11 p.m. time period, “World” finished #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key ratings category, (including ties in men 18-34 and men 25-54). Digital / Social: Total activity for the July 21 “World of Dance” amassed 1.2 million social interactions, the #2 highest Total Interactions for the show this season and #3 for the series overall.

Wednesday

NBC’s encore “Chicago” lineup won the night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 (tie) and total viewers -54. NBC has now finished #1 among the Big 4 networks in total viewers on nine of nine Wednesday nights so far this summer.

An encore telecast of “Chicago Med” (0.3 rating in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) finished #1 among the Big 4 networks in total viewers, growing week to week by +2% in total viewers (3.5 million vs. 3.4 million), pending updates.

A rebroadcast of a “Chicago Fire” crossover episode (0.4 rating in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) won the timeslot among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers versus the competition that included originals of “Game On” and “Ultimate Tag.”

A rebroadcast of a “Chicago P.D.” crossover episode (0.4 rating in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in total viewers, capturing “P.D.’s” top total-viewer result since May 27 (3.805 million). “P.D.’ won the timeslot among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers and grew versus the prior week’s encore by +8% in total viewers (3.8 million vs. 3.5 million).

Thursday

An encore “Ellen’s Game of Games” (0.4 rating in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) equaled NBC’s best 18-49 rating in the timeslot since May 21 (0.8 with “Celebrity Escape Room”). In the time slot, “Games” tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults, men and women 18-34, women 18-49 and women 25-54 and was #2 among those nets in total viewers..

The finale of “Blindspot” (0.3 rating in 18-49, 1.7 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) equaled the show’s season high in 18-49 and maintained 100% of last year’s season finale (0.3 vs. 0.3 on May 31, 2019). Versus the show’s prior telecast on July 9, the finale was up by +0.1 of a point or +50% in 18-49 (0.3 vs. 0.2 on July 9). Digital / Social: Digital / Social: The “Blindspot” series finale garnered 113,000 Total Social Interactions, up +70% versus the show’s season average (67,000) to rank as the #2 most social broadcast drama of the week and the #3 most social “Blindspot” in series history (and second highest for a one-hour episode, Source: Nielsen Social Content Ratings, 7/20/20-7/26/20, Percent Share, Drama).

A rebroadcast “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (0.2 rating in 18-49, 1.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) equaled the prior week’s encore in 18-49 (0.2 vs. 0.2) and grew by +27% in total viewers (1.9 million vs 1.5 million).

Friday

A rebroadcast of “The Wall” (0.3 rating in 18-49, 2.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) matched the prior week’s rebroadcast in this timeslot in 18-49 (0.3 vs. 0.3).

An encore telecast of “Dateline NBC” (0.4 rating in adults 18-49, 0.6 in adults 25-54, 2.8 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) retained 100% week to week in adults 18-49 (0.4 vs. 0.4) and adults 25-54 (0.7 vs. 0.7), to equal a 10-week Friday high in 18-49 and an 11-week Friday high in 25-54.

Saturday

"Dateline Saturday Night Mystery” (0.3 rating in 18-49, 0.5 in 25-54, 2.7 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) “Dateline” grew +0.1 of a point or +33% from its first half-hour to its fourth in adult 18-49 rating (0.3 to 0.4), +20% in adults 25-54 rating (0.5 to 0.6) and +22% in total viewers (2.5 million to 3.0 million)

“SNL Vintage” (0.3 in 18-49, 1.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET, with an encore of an March 8, 2003 telecast of “Saturday Night Live” hosted by Queen Latifah and featuring musical guest Ms. Dynamite) delivered the top total-viewer result for an “SNL” encore in this timeslot since June 13 (2.2 million) and matched the top “SNL” 18-49 rating in the slot since May 16 (0.4).
