CHIVAS DE GUADALAJARA VS. MAZATLAN F.C. TO AIR EXCLUSIVELY ON TELEMUNDO THIS SATURDAY

Telemundo Deportes continues exclusive coverage of Chivas de Guadalajara home matches with Matchday 12 this Saturday, September 26 at 5:55 p.m. ET, Pre-Game Coverage Begins At 5 PM ET

MIAMI – September 22, 2020 – Telemundo Deportes, the home of Chivas de Guadalajara, continues exclusive coverage of all Chivas home games with this weekend’s match against Mazatlán F.C. Matchday 12 of the LigaMX Guard1anes 2020 tournament will air live on Telemundo starting at 5:55 pm ET / 2:55 pm PT on Saturday, September 26th with English-language coverage on SAP, simultaneous coverage on the Telemundo Deportes App, and pre and post-game coverage on Universo beginning at 5 pm ET. Chivas, El Rebaño Sagrado, hope to regain their winning stream this weekend coming off a narrow 1-0 loss to Club América in last week’s Clásico Nacional. In preparation for this weekend’s match, five of Chivas de Guadalajara’s players called for Mexican National Team training will return for club training on Thursday. Chivas players called for El Tri include Gilberto Sepulveda, Uriel Antuna, Alexis Vega, Jose Juan Macias and for the first time Chivas’ rising star, Fernando Beltran.

Telemundo Deportes’ pre/post-game and halftime coverage will be led by Emmy-award winning expert Miguel Gurwitz alongside the analysis of Mexican soccer legend and former Chivas player, Carlos Hermosillo. Pre-game coverage will include segments led by Titulares y Más anchors, Karim Mendiburu and Ana Jurka as well as conversations with Chivas’ Uriel Antuna, JJ Macías and legendary goal keeper Martín Zuñiga, the latter led by Telemundo Deportes anchor and Chivas de Guadalajara veteran, Manuel Sol. Telemundo’s coverage of Matchday 12 will also include an opportunity for fans to participate in the network’s pre-game analysis via social media using #ChivasenTelemundo.

Saturday’s match coverage will again be led by five-time Emmy winner Andrés Cantor providing play-by-play commentary alongside the analysis of Mexican soccer star, Manuel Sol, and Chivas TV’s Arantza Fernandez as the match’s field reporter.
