DADDY YANKEE AND BAD BUNNY REIGN AT THE 2020 BILLBOARD LATIN MUSIC AWARDS ON TELEMUNDO WITH SEVEN AWARDS EACH

Romeo Santos, Snow, Luis Fonsi, Wisin & Yandel, Karol G and Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga Were Also Big Winners During the Ceremony that Paid Tribute to Armando Manzanero, Carlos Vives, Enrique Iglesias, Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi and Romeo Santos at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida

Miami, FL –October 21, 2020 –Telemundo broadcasted tonight the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards live, the longest-running and most prestigious awards show in Latin music, with impressive performances that included television debuts, special collaborations and emotional tributes to Armando Manzanero, Carlos Vives, Enrique Iglesias, Romeo Santos, Luis Fonsi, and Daddy Yankee. Daddy Yankee and Bad Bunny topped the list of winners with seven awards each, followed by Snow (6), Romeo Santos (4), Luis Fonsi (3) and Karol G, Wisin & Yandel and Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga (2).

At the ceremony held at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, Puerto Rican singer Daddy Yankee won six of his seven awards for his hit “Con Calma,” including Hot Latin Song of the Year; Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Event; Airplay Song of the Year; Latin Rhythm Song of the Year; Digital Song of the Year; and Streaming Song of the Year; in addition to receiving the Billboard Latin Song of the Decade award for "Despacito," with Luis Fonsi.

Bad Bunny was bestowed seven awards, including Artist of the Year; Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Male; Top Latin Album of the Year; Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Male; Latin Rhythm Artist of the Year, Solo; Latin Rhythm Album of the Year for X 100PRE; and Songwriter of the Year.

Canadian singer Snow won six awards, all for the song "Con Calma," including Hot Latin Song of the Year; Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Event; Airplay Song of the Year; Digital Song of the Year; Streaming Song of the Year and Latin Rhythm Song of the Year.

Romeo Santos won four awards, including Tropical Artist of the Year, Solo; Tropical Song of the Year for “Aullando”; Tropical Album of the Year for Utopia and Billboard Top Latin Album of the Decade for Formula: Vol. 2; while Luis Fonsi was honored with three awards including Latin Pop Artist of the Year, Solo; Latin Pop Album of the Year for Vida, and Billboard Latin Song of the Decade for "Despacito."

Earning two awards each were Wisin y Yandel in the categories of Tropical Song of the Year for "Aullando" and Latin Rhythm Artist of the Year, Duo or Group; Karol G for Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Female and Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Female, while the Mexican group Banda MS by Sergio Lizárraga won Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Duo or Group and Regional Mexican Artist of the Year, Duo or Group.

Winners of one award included Armando Manzanero, Aventura, Calibre 50, Carlos Vives, Christian Nodal, Enrique Iglesias, Farruko, Fuerza Regida, Jennifer López, Katy Perry, Lali, Los Angeles Azules, Maluma, Maná, Natalia Lafourcade, Pedro Capó, Sech and Tainy.

The evening’s highlights included tributes to Mexican maestro Armando Manzanero, who received the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award; Enrique Iglesias bestowed with the Billboard Top Latin Artist of All Time Award; Romeo Santos recognized with the Billboard Top Latin Album of the Decade for Formula: Vol. 2; Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee honored for Billboard Latin Song of the Decade with “Despacito”; Maluma acknowledged with the Billboard Spirit of Hope Award and Carlos Vives distinguished with the Billboard Hall of Fame Award.

Renowned actress, TV Host and influencer, Gaby Espino, was the official host of the awards, in collaboration with Nicaraguan actress and presenter Nastassja Bolívar, while a star-studded line-up of television, film and music stars presented awards.
