TUCSON, AZ – (April 6, 2020) – Telemundo 40 / KHRR, announced that Iram Rascon has been named multi-media journalist for Noticiero Telemundo Arizona. The newscast airs Monday through Friday at 11:00 A.M, 4:00 PM, 4:30 PM, 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Noticiero Telemundo Arizona is simulcast on Telemundo 39 / KTAZ. Rascon’s on-air debut will be today.
“Iram is eager to inform about the needs and interests of our Hispanic communities in Southern Arizona. I’m positive he will do that with his reporting,” said Miguel Gaytan, Vice President of News for Telemundo Arizona.
Prior to joining Telemundo 40, Rascon worked in Phoenix for Telemundo 39 KTAZ News as editor and photographer, from 2016 to 2019. Previously, he worked for Televisa Hermosillo as editor, photographer and floor manager, from 2007 to 2014.
Rascon earned a degree in Communication Sciences from Universidad de Sonora in Hermosillo, Mexico. Rascon received three Emmy® awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Rocky Mountain Southwest chapter in 2018 for different stories and special coverages.
