“Transfer of Power” and “Inside The Biden Administration” Will Air Sunday, January 17 and Thursday, January 21 at 10pm ET as Part of MSNBC’s Special Inaugural Coverage

January 15, 2020 – As the country faces a chaotic presidential transition, Lawrence O’Donnell, host of MSNBC’s “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell,” will host two primetime events during the week of inauguration, one focusing on the threats to disrupt plans for the inauguration and the historic swearing in of Vice President-elect Kamala Harris in “Transfer of Power,” airing Sunday, January 17, and another examining the first 100 days of Joe Biden’s presidency in Inside The Biden Agenda,” airing Thursday, January 21.

“Transfer of Power” (Sunday, January 17 at 10pm ET) will explore the deadly insurrection that led to the impeachment of President Trump as well as security protocols for the swearing in ceremony. It will also highlight the historical relevance of the inauguration with Harris sworn in as the first female Vice President of the United States.

“Inside The Biden Agenda” (Thursday, January 21 at 10pm ET) will dive into Biden's first 100 days and the road map to accomplishing his biggest priorities. With Democrats on the eve of full control of the House and Senate, O’Donnell will examine the various crises looming over his presidency, including the Covid-19 vaccine rollout, the economic fallout of the pandemic and the reckoning around racial injustice in America.
