NBC 4 NEW YORK, TELEMUNDO 47 AND LX.TV PRODUCTIONS HONORED WITH 31 NEW YORK EMMY® AWARDS

NEW YORK, NY – (May 6, 2019) – Recognizing their commitment to broadcast excellence and the highest standards in journalism, the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences recognized NBC 4 New York / WNBC, Telemundo 47 / WNJU and LX.TV Productions with a combined 31 New York Emmys® during Saturday’s awards gala at the Marriott Marquis in Manhattan.

NBC 4 New York was recognized with 15 New York Emmy® Awards, including for “Team Coverage” “Breaking News,” and top “Evening Newscast.” The WNBC I-Team, the largest local, televised investigative and consumer reporting team in New York, was awarded six Emmy® awards including top “Investigative Report: Single Story,” won by Investigative Reporter Sarah Wallace.

Telemundo 47 was recognized with a station-record 14 New York Emmy® Awards, including for “Breaking News,” and top “Morning Newscast”, “Daytime Newscast” and “Evening Newscast”. Additionally, the station was also awarded top “Weather Talent”, won by Meteorologist Pedro Montoro and top “Business/Consumer” story, won by Consumer Reporter Liz Gonzalez.

LX.TV Productions was recognized with two New York Emmy® Awards, including for top “Entertainment: Program/Special”, won by 1st Look and top “Talent: Program Host/Moderator”, won by Sara Gore. 1st Look Senior Producer Brian Mait was also honored at this weekend’s 46th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, winning a national Emmy® in the category of “Outstanding Directing for a Single Camera Lifestyle, Culinary, Travel or Educational and Informational Program”.
