Station receives high honors in the “General Branding/Image” category for its new station image campaign

FORT WORTH / DALLAS, TX – (June 21, 2019) – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth / KXAS was presented with one gold and three silver awards during the 2019 Promax Awards Station Summit on Thursday, June 20 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. The awards recognize the best TV marketing, design, creative and innovative campaigns in the country. This year, NBC 5’s Brand Marketing team wins award for multiple ongoing award-winning campaigns.

The prestigious honors include:

  • General Branding/Image: News Station Image – Large Market: “Storm Fleet 2.0” (Silver)
  • Weather Promotional Spot: “Storm Fleet 2.0” (Silver)
  • Music or Instrumental Theme With or Without Vocals: “Texas Connects Us 4.0” (Silver)
  • Use of Original Music in a Promo: Texas Connects Us 4.0 (Gold)

“Storm Fleet 2.0” was recognized with two silver awards for General Branding/Image: News Station Image and Weather Promotional Spot. The imagery and power that is embodied in NBC 5’s weather technology exemplifies the station’s dedication to keeping North Texans safe by keeping NBC 5’s audience informed.

Over the past five years, NBC 5 Brand Marketing and ad agency, Planet 365, created and continued to grow the cherished Texas Connects Us brand campaign, now in its fourth iteration. “Texas Connects Us 4.0” won gold for Use of Original Music in a Promo and silver for Music or Instrumental Theme With or Without Vocals. The music used in the campaign conveys an innate connection from the community with the station. North Texans’ pride and affinity for NBC 5’s values is felt through the music.
