NBC AND TELEMUNDO OWNED STATIONS WIN A TOTAL OF 10 AWARDS AT 2019 PROMAX LOCAL AWARDS

NBC affiliate stations are recognized with a total of 10 awards across multiple categories

NEW YORK, NY – (June 24, 2019) – NBC and Telemundo-owned, and affiliate TV stations were recognized with a total of 20 Promax Local Station Summit awards on June 20 during Promax’s annual gathering of local broadcast marketing experts in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Promax Local Station Summit Awards recognize industry leaders and innovators in local television, promotion, marketing, and design. Specifically, 10 total awards were presented to NBC and Telemundo owned stations that serve New York, Los Angeles, Dallas-Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., and Miami-Fort Lauderdale markets, and Skycastle, the stations’ in-house marketing and production company. NBC affiliate stations in Richmond, Minneapolis, Buffalo, Cleveland, New Orleans, Washington, NC and San Antonio markets were recognized with a total of 10 awards.

NBC 5’s Brand Marketing team in Dallas-Fort Worth / KXAS took home four awards, including a gold award in the “Use of Original Music in a Promo” category. NBC owned flagship station on the east coast, NBC 4 New York / WNBC, received a silver award in the “Outdoor/Environmental/ Transit Ad” category for “That Feeling.” Also, NBC4 Southern California / KNBC won a gold award in the “Weather Program Image” category for “First Alert 4 You.” NBC4 Washington /WRC-TV, was presented with a silver award in the category of “Holiday/Seasonal/Special Event Program Spot” for “Weather Day with the Nationals.” Telemundo 51 / WSCV received a silver award in “Public Service Announcement Campaign” for “Desocupar Los Albergues 2018” / “Clear The Shelters 2018." Skycastle, the division’s in-house marketing and promotions company, received two awards including a gold award in the “On-Air Commercial Advertisement” category for “Bay Area Mercedes Benz Dealers: “Player.”

NBC affiliate stations were also recognized with a total of 10 awards across a variety of categories, including nine gold and one silver awards. NBC affiliate station WWBT in Richmond, Virginia won three awards including the gold award in the “General Branding/Image: News Station Image – Small Market,” while KARE 11 in Minneapolis, Minnesota won two awards including gold in the “Program Promotional Campaign” category.
