UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — April 16, 2019 — NBC has averaged a 0.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall for the primetime ratings week of April 8-14, according to “live plus same day” viewership figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Excluding sports, Monday and Tuesday editions of “The Voice” tied for #4 among primetime programs on the Big 4 networks in the key demographic of adults 18-49 for the week, with the Monday telecast ranking #5 in total viewers and the Tuesday edition finishing #7 by that measure.

Season to date, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 (tie) and all key adult-female demographics. In total viewers, excluding sports, NBC is running within 1.470 million persons of #1 CBS, NBC’s closest position to #1 in total viewers at this point in the season, excluding sports, in 16 years, since trailing by 760,000 persons at this time in 2002-03. .

Weekly ratings are “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date ratings are averages of “live plus seven day” data except for the two most recent weeks, which are “live plus same day.”

NBC highlights for the week of April 8-14:

Monday

NBC delivered Monday night’s top-rated broadcast competition versus CBS -- which carried the high-rated NCAA Basketball Championship -- in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

“The Voice” (1.2 rating in 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 entertainment telecast of the night in 18-49 and total viewers.

“Live Plus 35 Day Plus Digital” Ratings: Monday’s “The Voice” has grown by +67% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 1.77 to a 2.96).

“The Enemy Within” (0.6 rating in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) topped ABC’s rival drama in the timeslot, “The Fix,” in adults 18-49; adults, men and women 25-54; adults, men and women 18-34; and total viewers. L+7: “Enemy Within” has grown by +70% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 0.92 to a 1.56) and +3.1 million viewers overall (5.1 million to 8.2 million).

Tuesday

NBC wins the night in adults 18-49.

“The Voice” (1.2 rating in 18-49, 7.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) tied as the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 with its first Tuesday telecast in five weeks, tying for the timeslot win in adults 18-49 and winning the hour in adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demos. “The Voice” grew half-hour to half-hour by +18% in adults 18-49 (1.1 to 1.2). L+35+Digital: The Tuesday edition of “The Voice” has increased by +64% in the 18-49 demo going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 1.70 to a 2.79).

“The Village” (0.7 rating in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET), in its new 9 p.m. timeslot, tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in the hour in adults 18-49, and also ranked #1 or tied for #1 among those nets in adults 18-34, men 18-34 and all key adult-female demos. “The Village” maintained 100% of the previous week’s 10 p.m. telecast (which benefited from a lead-in from the season finale of “This Is Us”) in 18-49 (0.7 vs. 0.7 at 10:01 p.m.) and retained 99% in total viewers (4.1 million vs. 4.2 million).

“New Amsterdam” (0.7 rating in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET), with its first telecast in four weeks, won the timeslot among the ABC, CBS and NBC dramas in adults 18-49 and also ranked #1 or tied for #1 in the timeslot among those dramas in adults, men and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; and adults and women 25-54. L+7: “New Amsterdam” has grown by +106% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.18 to a 2.43) and +5.3 million viewers overall (6.3 million to 11.6 million) going from L+SD to L+7. The gain of +5.335 million viewers is the #4 biggest L+7 lift on television so far this season. L+35+Digital: “New Amsterdam” has grown by +238% in the 18-49 demo going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 1.18 to a 3.99).

Wednesday

An encore“Chicago Med” averaged a 0.5 rating in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET.

An encore telecast of “Chicago Fire” (0.6 rating in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) won the hour in total viewers and topped the show’s prior rebroadcast (4.1 million vs. 4.0 million on March 13).

A rebroadcast of “Chicago P.D.” (0.5 rating in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) rated within 0.1 of a point of #1 in the timeslot versus original drama competition on ABC and CBS and beat them to win the hour in women 18-49.

Thursday

“Superstore” (0.9 rating in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET) grew +13% week to week in 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.8) and +11% in total viewers (3.4 million vs. 3.1 million), to equal the show’s top 18-49 rating since March 22, 2018 (1.1 in 18-49). “Superstore” ranked #2 or tied for #2 in the timeslot among the Big 4 networks in men 18-49, men 25-54 and adults, men and women 18-34. L+35+Digital: “Superstore” generates 43% of its L+35+digital 18-49 rating from nonlinear sources, tied for the #2 biggest percentage on the NBC schedule, behind only “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”

“A.P. Bio” (0.5 rating in 18-49, 2.0 million viewers overall from 8:30-9 p.m. ET) maintained 100% week to week in 18-49 (0.5 vs. 0.5) and increased by +8% in total viewers (2.049 million vs. 1.905 million), to deliver a steady 0.5 in 18-49 for a sixth consecutive telecast. L+7+Digital: “A.P. Bio” generates 36% of its L+7+digital 18-49 rating from nonlinear sources, tied for the #3 biggest percentage on the NBC schedule, behind only “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Superstore.” Upscale: This season, “A.P. Bio” is delivering the #5 highest concentration of adult 18-49 viewers with four or more years of college among Big 4 primetime series and #3 highest concentration of adult 18-49 viewers living in homes with $100K+ incomes among Big 4 primetime series.

“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (0.6 rating in 18-49, 1.9 million viewers overall from 9-9:30 p.m. ET), with its first telecast in three weeks, was up +0.1 of a point or +20% in 18-49 (0.6 vs. 0.5 on March 21) to equal its high since Feb. 28 (0.7). L+35+Digital: “B99” generates 57% of its L+35+digital 18-49 rating with nonlinear sources, the #1 biggest percentage on the NBC schedule. Upscale: “B99” is delivering the #4 highest concentration of adult 18-49 viewers with four or more years of college among Big 4 primetime series.

“Abby’s” (0.4 rating in 18-49, 1.6 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) retained 100% week to week in adults 18-34 and women 18-34.

“Law & Order: SVU” (0.7 rating in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) won the timeslot in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers, and is #1 or tied for #1 among the ABC, CBS and NBC dramas in all other key measures. L+35+Digital: “SVU” is growing by +265% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 0.88 to a 3.21).

Friday

“Blindspot” (0.4 rating in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) maintained 100% week to week in 18-49 (0.4 vs. 0.4) and +99% in total viewers (2.860 million vs. 2.891 million).

“The Blacklist” (0.5 rating in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) maintained 100% week to week in 18-49 (0.5 vs. 0.5) and was 99% in total viewers (3.569 million vs. 3.619 million). L+35+Digital: “Blacklist” is increasing by +204% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 0.55 to a 1.67).

“Dateline NBC” (0.6 rating in 18-49, 0.8 in adults 25-54, 3.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) equaled the show’s high for a Friday edition since Dec. 14, 2018 in adults 18-49 (0.8 from 9-11 p.m.) and matched its Friday high since Jan. 18 in adults 25-54 (1.0), while delivering its most-watched Friday episode since March 22 in total viewers (3.6 million).

Saturday

NBC Sports’ 8:06-11 p.m. ET coverage of Stanley Cup Playoff hockey, featuring the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Boston Bruins (0.5 rating in 18-49, 1.7 million viewers overall) ranked #2 for the night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34

Sunday

An encore telecast of “Ellen’s Game of Games” averaged a 0.5 rating in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET, growing versus the prior week’s encore in this timeslot by +45% in total viewers (2.9 million vs. 2.0 million) and +25% in 18-49 rating (0.5 vs. 0.4).

“World of Dance” (0.7 rating in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) maintained a steady 0.7 in 18-49 for a third week in a row and grew in total viewers (3.3 million vs. 3.2 million). L+3: The previous week’s “World of Dance” grew +43% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+3 (from a 0.7 to a 1.0) and +925,000 viewers (3.2 million to 4.2 million).

“Good Girls” (0.6 rating in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) equaled the show’s highest 18-49 rating since its season premiere on March 3 (0.7) and delivered its most-watched episode since March 10, the second “Good Girls” telecast of the season. L+3: The prior Sunday’s “Good Girls” increased by +67% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (0.6 to 1.0) and by +1.3 million viewers (2.4 million to 3.7 million). Digital: “Good Girls” has broken its series record for best seven-day non-linear viewership with each new episode so far this season, allowing the show to double its digital delivery this season versus last.
