Like our first story about a hockey team that's made up of athletes in their 70s. The Bald Eagles show that there is no age limit to having fun playing sports with your friends. We then head to the gridiron and meet someone leading the charge in changing the perception of female presence in sports. Katie Sowers has lived and breathed football her whole life, and her coaching and leadership ability has landed her a job as an NFL assistant coach. She's also leading as an example for more gender diversity in the world of a male-dominated sport. We then see the power of sports in the touching story of Shane Caldwell. Shane battled cancer for years, but that never stopped him from living his life to the absolute fullest. His story is an inspiration for not just sports fans, but for everyone.

We start on the colder side of the region where penguins rule the land. There are millions of penguins here that almost outnumber the humans that live in Patagonia. We then visit another animal who hangs out in the water, the beaver. Its dams are spread across the region and will often affect the lives and homes of the local birds. The woodpecker is among the birds affected by the amount of beaver dams. We’ll explore a day in the life of these woodpeckers to get a better understanding of their habits. We then head to the glaciers and ice fields that host a wide range of creatures. From flamingos to guanacos to pumas, these ice fields have some of the most diverse wildlife in Patagonia. We will then meet the people who live there, and explore their relationship with wild, as well as tamed horses.

10/19/2019 (10:30AM - 11:00AM) (Saturday) : On today’s episode of Earth Odyssey, we head to the Pantanal region of South America. The Pantanal is the biggest wetland on earth, but we begin with the animal that has more species than any other creature in the region: birds. Parakeets and parrots make their nests in the cliffs and trees, away from predators. But that doesn’t mean that they are totally safe. Predators hunt for prey all over the Pantanal, and predators even hunt for each other. We’ll see an epic showdown of power between a jaguar and a crocodile. We will then explore the circle of life that happens between the animals and locals in the beautiful South American region. From crocodiles to parrots, many different animals benefit from the relationship between the ranchers and their cattle. We then head back to the wetlands where crocs lay out in the sun next to storks, parakeets and a variety of different birds.

Later, the back legs of an aging pup named Sylvester are becoming unresponsive, and neurologist Dr. Debbie James has trouble diagnosing the issue. Is cautionary medication the answer, or will Sylvester need risky spinal surgery?

We begin on the track where Paralympic athlete Tatyana McFadden has become one of the greatest athletes of our generation. Her hard work, dedication and accomplishments are inspiration enough, but it's her tough road to the top of the podium that shows that you must believe in yourself if you want to be great. We then head to the golf course where friendship is made. Sports are more than just about the game, and these groups of pals prove that nothing is more important than friendship. We then head to the rugby field where phenom Junior Waqavesi is making a name for himself. With the help of veteran teammates, Waqavesi is quickly becoming one of the best young rugby players on the planet. Plus, we hear the inspiring story of Max Jacobson. This young athlete was met with adversity before he was even a teenager, when he was diagnosed with a heart condition. But Max never flinched, and his bravery got him and his family through some of the scariest times.

There are many animals that call this Indian desert home, but it is also home to the thriving city of Jaipur. Over three million people live in this busy metropolis, but they share the streets and shops with macaque monkeys. But not all of them behave, and the troublemakers must be sent back into the wild. While we’re in the wild, we’ll go to a grassier part of the desert where deer, hogs and peacocks graze. But they have to watch their backs for one of the Thar Desert’s most dangerous predators – the tiger. We then head high above the trees where one of the most fascinating migrations in the animal kingdom flies. Cranes makes their way through the Thar DESERT and it’s a mesmerizing sight to see this natural behavior. Then we go full circle back to our troop of macaques as they face their biggest competition yet.

10/26/2019 (10:30AM - 11:00AM) (Saturday) : Today on Earth Odyssey, we head to Southeast Asia where lies the island chain of the Philippines. We start on Palawan Island where there is an array of interesting creatures. We meet a giant pitcher plant that gets its name from its large and oval-shaped “mouth.” These plants are not alone on the floor, as scorpions and giant centipedes crawl around the forest floor. We then run into a binturong, or commonly known as a bearcat. Despite its nickname, binturongs are not related to either cats or bears. After the forest floor, we go to the cold, damp caves that make up much of the Philippine landscape. In the caves, we’ll find some creepy crawlers like tarantulas and more scorpions. After the caves, we make our way down to the rivers where monitor lizards call home.

Therapist Dalida hopes the underwater treadmill, massage and acupuncture treatment put Brody at ease. Later, Titan the cat comes under the care of Dr. Dawn Martin for respiratory issues. A CAT scan could reveal a potentially dangerous condition.
