Engaging activities throughout the day will include NASCAR car-racing challenge, Ellen’s Cash Grab Booth, Florida Panthers Snap Shot, Soccer Goal challenge and more
MIRAMAR, FL – (March 11, 2019) – NBC6 / WTVJ, Telemundo 51 / WSCV and Comcast Spotlight today announced their joint effort to bring a family friendly health and lifestyle experience to South Florida viewers. The Grand Family Expo presented by Memorial Healthcare System is produced by CI Management and will take place Sunday, March 31st from 12 PM to 5 PM at Sawgrass Mills Mall.
“Every day we set out to make a difference in our community, and what better way to do it than by creating a fun, interactive event to bring families together,” said NBC6 President and General Manager, Larry Olevitch. “We’ve got an exciting lineup of celebrities, giveaways and other surprises in the works.”
The Grand Family Expo will feature a special presentation by Dr. Oz along with a panel discussion prepared by expert physicians from Memorial Healthcare System on the topic of Women’s Heart Health. Event attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with Dr. Oz immediately following his presentation.

The Grand Family Expo will feature an appearance by Dr. Ana María Polo (Caso Cerrado), one of the most influential and prestigious personalities in Spanish-language television. Her strong and determined nature have made her a spokesperson and a fighter for important issues of great relevance and impact to Latinos, including social causes, and specifically bringing courage and faith to women who fight against breast cancer, a battle that Polo herself beat.
