NBCLX, A NEW TV & OTT NETWORK FOR GEN Z & MILLENNIALS IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE ROKU PLATFORM

Fort Worth, TX – (October 1, 2020) – NBCLX, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations’ new TV and OTT network designed for adults 18-45 today announced the NBCLX channel is now available on the Roku® platform. NBCLX’s Roku launch expands its reach to households with an estimated 100 million people. The network’s reach already includes mobile, online, linear TV, cable, and dMVPD platform users. NBCLX made its debut for U.S. audiences as a digital news brand in September 2019 and as a linear/streaming network on June 1, 2020 with the launch of “LX News” a live news program that airs Monday to Fridays at 8-10am and 8-10pm EST across OTT, mobile, linear and cable platforms.

Based out of NBC 5 (KXAS) and Telemundo 39’s (KXTX)’s Studios at DFW facility in Fort Worth, Texas, NBCLX is a new TV and streaming network that is engaging Gen Z and millennials by presenting news in an entirely new way and delivering storytelling that is personal, inspiring and thought-provoking. With LX News launching in the midst of a pandemic and as communities everywhere joined to fight for social justice, the NBCLX team is reporting on these important issues and on key 2020 election issues by going beyond the headlines to give audiences depth, context and the information they want through their powerful and visually-rich reporting.

Beginning today, Roku audiences across the U.S. will be able to watch the following NBCLX original programs:

LX News: 20 hours of live weekday news programming that feature an innovative storytelling approach to news that is personal, inspiring, thought-provoking, and community focused. NBCLX Storytellers Jobeth Devera, Clark Fouraker, Ashley Holt, Tabitha Lipkin, and Nik Zecevik are providing context to the day’s news and are connecting with audiences by empowering them to take part in the conversation.

LX Presents: Daily and weekly specials that feature LX documentary stories, explainers and robust storytelling from NBC owned TV stations and NBC News digital.

NBCLX also features programming from Jukin Media, Tastemade, The Dodo and Storytelling Spotlights from The New York Times video journalists.
