EL PASO, TX – (May 28, 2019) – Telemundo 48 El Paso / KTDO today announced the launch of its new consumer investigative unit, Telemundo 48 Responde which is charged with helping consumers who think they may have been wronged. The unit’s first report will air on Tuesday, May 28 during KTDO-TV’s 10PM weekday edition of “Noticiero Telemundo 48.” Thereafter, audiences from the Borderland can tune in to Telemundo 48 every Tuesday and Thursday to “Noticiero Telemundo 48” at 10pm to watch new “Telemundo 48 Responde” reports. Tejada joined Telemundo 48 in March 2019 as a Consumer Investigative Reporter after working at WKTB Telemundo Atlanta as a News Co-Anchor and Community Affairs Reporter from 2017 to 2018. At Telemundo Atlanta, Tejada successfully connected with the Hispanic community by helping to resolve consumer cases. Before this, Tejada worked at WHHI in South Carolina as a producer and host of the first Spanish local show. A seasoned journalist with 11 years of experience reporting for Spanish language TV news audiences, Tejada earned a Southeast Emmy® award winner for “Lazos de Amor”.

The launch of KTDO’s consumer investigative unit expands NBC and Telemundo owned stations’ “NBC Responds / Telemundo Responde” units to 20 markets, including El Paso. Collectively, the NBC/Telemundo stations’ consumer units have answered more than 350,000 consumer tips and recovered more than $30 million for consumers since the units first launched in 2014.
