Miami, FL – April 18, 2019 – Telemundo will provide viewers with complete coverage of the Billboard Latin Music Awards with three television specials surrounding the show. “Detrás de la Fama” (Behind the Fame) on Saturday, April 20 at 10pm/9c, will feature exclusive and in-depth interviews with Billboard Latin Music Awards finalists Ozuna, Natti Natasha, Karol G and Anuel. “La Alfombra de Premios Billboard” will air on Thursday, April 25 live at 7PM/6c and will showcase the fashionable and glamorous arrival of the stars on the red carpet. Finally, the live special “Premios Billboard: Acceso VIP” will air on Thursday, April 25 following the awards ceremony at 11:35pm/10:35c and feature an exclusive behind-the-scenes look of the awards show.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards will broadcast live on Telemundo Thursday, April 25 at 8pm/7c. The show will also air simultaneously on Spanish-language entertainment cable network, Universo, and in 20 countries throughout the Americas via Telemundo Internacional. Rashel Diaz, of Telemundo’s morning show “Un Nuevo Día,” returns once again to host “Detrás de la Fama,” a special one-hour TV show that will showcase exclusive interviews with four young artists who not only are redefining the urban genre, but are all finalists for the Billboard Latin Music Awards, Ozuna, Natti Natasha, Karol G and Anuel. These four Latin super stars and trailblazers will sit down with Rashel and share their challenges and successes and also reveal never-before-heard stories of their personal lives.

The top finalist this year, Ozuna, who is up for 15 awards, has disrupted industry standards and has smashed records within his newly established music career. In the midst of his sold-out “Odisea World Tour 2018,” his maiden album Odisea remained atop the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart for 46 consecutive weeks, becoming the most successful debut album in history. Latin Pop superstar Natti Natasha, who is up for two awards this year, is the most-watched female artist on YouTube, far surpassing Top 40 queens like Cardi B and Ariana Grande. Her first of many blockbusters, 2017’s “Criminal” sung alongside reggaeton superstar Ozuna counted over one billion YouTube views. Colombian reggaeton singer and songwriter, and three-time finalist Karol G is one of the leading female voices of Latin urban music. Karol G has garnered many No. 1 hits including: “Dame Tu Cosita” – with Pitbull, and El Chombo, featuring Cutty Ranks, which topped the Hot Latin Songs chart and earned three No. 1 hits on both the Latin Airplay and Latin Rhythm charts including: “Mi Cama” with J Balvin featuring Nicky Jam. Puerto Rican rapper and singer Anuel, a four-time finalist this year, is considered one of the pioneers of the Latin trap movement. He rose to prominence following the hit "Esclava" alongside Bryant Myers, Almighty and Anonimus.

On Thursday, April 25, the red carpet special “La Alfombra de Premios Billboard” will precede the Billboard Latin Music Awards airing LIVE at 7pm/6c. The one-hour show will showcase the anticipation, glitz and glam as music, TV and film stars arrive on the red carpet. The program will be hosted this year by Telemundo personalities Rashel Diaz of “Un Nuevo Día,” Jorge Bernal from “Suelta La Sopa,” and Jessica Carrillo and Rodner Figueroa both of “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste”.

Following the awards show, at 11:35pm/10:35c, viewers will be treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes look of the awards ceremony during “Premios Billboard: Acceso VIP.” The show will be hosted by Jessica Carrillo, Rodner Figueroa and Chiquibaby of “Un Nuevo Día.”
