WHAT: Telemundo 31 / WTMO, the Telemundo-owned station that serves Spanish-speaking viewers in Central Florida, will host, produce and air the first and only scheduled televised Florida gubernatorial debate between candidates Andrew Gillum and Ron DeSantis.
As the first local TV station in Florida to get the exclusive rights to air a debate between Florida’s gubernatorial candidates, Telemundo 31’s debate will also be broadcast and live streamed by Telemundo stations in South Florida (WSCV), Fort Myers (WWDT) and Tampa (WRMD), to help Florida’s Spanish-speaking audiences understand where each candidate stands on issues of importance to Floridians and Hispanics.
