Station names Sandra Cervantes evening anchor and welcomes Fatima Navarrete as weekend anchor

SAN JOSE, CA – (July 16, 2020) – Telemundo 48 Área de la Bahía / KSTS announced that news anchor Sandra Cervantes has taken on a new role at the station as weekday evening anchor. “We are thrilled that Sandra is taking on this new challenge,” said Rossyris Silva, Vice President of News for Telemundo 48. “She has co-anchored our noon newscasts since we launched it in 2018 and has brought energy and tireless work ethic like no other, delivering on our commitment of Primeros Contigo — to be first with our viewers. I can’t wait for our viewers to see her in the new time period.” Silva added, “I am excited to officially welcome Fatima to our newsroom as part of our anchor team. Her passion for journalism and issues affecting the undocumented community will be a great service to our viewers and a valuable resource to our effort Apoyando Nuestra Communidad — Supporting Our Community.”
