UNIVERSAL CITY, CA – (February 22, 2019) – Telemundo 52 Los Angeles / KVEA today announced that Michelle Trujillo has been named Weather Anchor for Telemundo 52’s weekday evening newscasts, Noticiero Telemundo 52 a las 5 PM, 5:30 PM, 6 PM y 11 PM. Beginning February 25, Trujillo joins KVEA’s Emmy-Award winning news team that includes news anchors Ana Patricia Candiani, Dunia Elvir and Enrique Chiabra, sports anchor Alejandro Navarro and an enterprising team of reporters.

Trujillo joined KVEA’s weather team four years ago and is expected to receive a degree in Meteorology from Mississippi State University in summer 2019. At KVEA, Trujillo has helped audiences stay ahead of several severe weather events that have impacted the market including the California Drought, 2018 wildfires, and this year’s winter storms. A Los Angeles native, Trujillo earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from California State University, Fullerton.
