Since 2013, the Telemundo-owned stations have enhanced their news operations and expanded their local programming by launching new local newscasts on weekday mornings, afternoons and midday. The stations have also introduced weekend newscasts and morning cut-ins, and made the stations’ news, weather, and investigative and consumer information available across all platforms. The Telemundo stations also have individual mobile apps that feature live, local news and weather. The Telemundo apps are the only apps in the marketplace that deliver real-time, weather alerts in Spanish. The apps are powered by NBC/Telemundo owned stations’ exclusive network of weather radars, the largest privately-owned radar network in the U.S. Rounding out their commitment to their communities, NBC and Telemundo-owned stations’ consumer investigative teams – NBC Responds and Telemundo Responde – have recovered more than $30 million for consumers.
