Kerry Shannon, formerly Kerry Smith, has served as Executive Producer of “The Jerry Springer Show” since May 2015. Shannon serves as the executive producer for the show’s historic 25th season.
Shannon has worked on “The Jerry Springer Show” for over 15 years having joined the team in January of 1999. Shannon began work as an associate producer but within a year was quickly elevated to the title of producer. In 2007, she received her next promotion to senior producer and like before, within the year, she was promoted to supervising producer. In 2011, Shannon was named the show’s co-executive producer working closely with then executive producer, Rachelle Wilkos.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal and “The Jerry Springer Show,” Shannon was an associate producer and then producer for a small cable access company in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, Shannon gained the core skills that would become invaluable for the Springer show as she was in charge of live call-ins and in-studio guests from local news anchors to doctors to sports experts.
Shannon received her bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Nevada. Shannon currently resides in New York City with her husband.
