Yuri Sardarov stars as Brian “Otis” Zvonecek, Firehouse 51’s rescue specialist in the NBC drama “Chicago Fire.” Otis is also a bartender at Chicago’s favorite local pub, Molly’s, and its new sister location, Molly’s North.
Along with his Georgian and Armenian parents, Sardarov immigrated to the United States when he was 2 years old, living primarily in St. Louis and Chicago.
While studying acting at the University of Michigan, Sardarov’s first major role was in the Chicago stage version of “The History Boys.” This role led to his feature-film debut in “The Double,” starring Richard Gere, which was written by “Chicago Fire” creators/executive producers Michael Brand and Derek Haas.
Shortly thereafter, Sardarov appeared in “The Ides of March” and the Academy Award-winning best picture “Argo.” In 2014, Sardarov co-starred in the Off-Broadway play “Becket.”
Dividing his time between Los Angeles and Chicago, he enjoys cooking and playing basketball.
